Apparently the government needs good pictures too! Click here to read an article about the Air Force One “photo op” that happened this morning in lower Manhattan, setting off a panic in the financial district near ground zero. I wonder how many tax dollars were used for this picture. A 747 and two fighter jets flying around for the better part of an hour. Just the gas for that “mission” (I find it hilarious that they are calling it a mission) would probably pay for me to live for a year.
“….the White House military office told the Federal Aviation Administration that it was updating file photos of Air Force One near national landmarks, such as the statue in the New York harbor and the Grand Canyon.”
So basically, during one of the worst economic crises in our history, the government is using tax dollars (probably thousands upon thousands of them) to take pretty pictures of the plane that flies our president around. I’m all for pretty pictures, but seriously.

A cell phone picture taken by Jason Mclane
is that a ufo to the left of the plane?
