I am going to try to post on here once a week from now on, and hopefully with substantial posts about something. It’s more for me and for keeping me thinking, but if anyone else still checks or reads this then good for them too. I am back in Salt Lake City and I am trying to work on new portfolios, possibly for grad school applications, but that all depends if they are kick ass enough and if I do enough work. “Did you do enough work?”
Also I was featured on the photojojo newsletter. I had no idea that they used my stuff and they just totally guessed about how I work on them. On the other hand their idea of scratching into the emulsion after printing is a pretty good one, and it might be just what is needed for the work. I also considered using a graphic design method for printing in which you first print the piece, and then you screen print on top of it for high gloss in specific areas. For example the image itself could be a pearl finish while the drawing aspects could be high-gloss.
